I built this model back in 1970 and it was my first foray into boat modelling. Fitted with a simple motor and a cheap shaft/propellor combination, it surprised me by its performance and gave hours of pleasure, even though it wasn't radio-controlled. With the minimal tools I then had available I still managed to produce a realistic model that coped with sometimes (scale) rough sea conditions!
